Billiards at La Luna

Last night at the Sports Bar La Luna Azul in Trinidad and Tobago there was an outstanding match up tournament where all the top guns in the country came out to exhibit there arsenal inventory and execute precision strikes at there opponents. The tournament was a race to 3 in the first and second rounds and the semi-finals and final was a race to 5. There was 3 tables in use not of the same specs and very different playing conditions which made it difficult for players who had to move from one table to the other for other matches.

All in all the tournament was great and couldn't stay till the end but I will be back with more details later this evening.

Billiards and Pool

Billiards and pool is a game that can be very intriguing and addictive. I have found that all pool games such as 9 ball, 8 ball, Straight pool, 10 ball, and 7 ball can be a great way to train yourself to improve your concerntration level. They can also frustrate you so you get bald in 5 minuites.

Whether frustrating or not I love the game and I hope you do to. So as for my first blog on Billiards and pool I hope you enjoy and find the content interesting and helpful.

Billiard Basics

Some of the basics of Billiards or Pool consists of :

1: Stance
2: Bridge
3: Grip
4: Practice Stroke
5: Stroke
6: Sighting
7: Aiming

Mastering these basics of billiards would propel your game beyond your own belief. Many of the great players in the game of pool have mastered each one of these arts. I call them arts because that is just what they are. It is similar to Martial arts because of the the similar co-ordination and concerntration control needed to excel at the game.

Spend a couple hours everyday practicing the basics of pool and intensly go through each one of these art forms and you would definitly see progress.
